Sorry, been a while since I posted any artwork I know ^^; Just so many things to do, sometimes my personal art does take a back seat to everything else ^^; Here are a couple artwork which I sketched when I was at the cruise with family :3
Below is one inspired by a girl wearing a red bikini ^o^ I might as well throw in a girl in striped blue and white 2 piece huh? :P
It was a beautiful weekend, the husband and I went to hunt for a couple things we needed in downtown Vancouver as we couldn’t find them in Richmond ^^; We chanced upon a couple girls wearing kimonos during our hunt ^^; The couple photos I took is cropped a bit closer from the originals as the zoom feature on our Lumix LX3 is quite limited. I am still quite impressed with the amount of details on the girl’s outfits which showed up in the photos tho!
Took Lumix LX3 out for another run yesterday as I needed to go out anyways. The weather was spectacular but I think I got too much pollen in my system by last evening and suffered a massive sinus headache by the end of last nite on top of my flu. ^^; Anyhows, in this post you’ll see pictures of places, random stuff and food pictures.

One of my favourite weeds I mean wild flowers, butter cups! :3 I took a whole lot of photos of them and realised that yellow tend to not turn out very well. I had shot the day’s series of photos in Raw format too, and edited a handful of them to make some details show up better.
Our current 3 year old point and shoot digital camera is not meeting our expectations these days, especially during low light condition. So me and hubsband decided to give LX3 a try — thanks to seeing some recommendations in the comments on dannychoo.com and Danny’s own photos. The nice thing about some (not all) of the stores in Canada is that we at least have a 14 day return policy, so we can actually try the camera for that period of time to see if it’s a keeper :)

So far we’re still trying to get used to the different features and functions, so not all photos are picture perfect. So if you’re curious to see what pictures we took with the LX3, this entry is for you :) Be warned tho, there’s food pix ahead!
I had been on a cruise when I was about 11-12 years old back in Singapore, back then they call it a “cruise to no where”. This time we went on what they called a “relocation cruise” with husband and family, both terms from then and now seems to mean there is no stops for excursion during the cruise.

Thanks Pyoro for the reminder, it just wouldn’t feel right if I don’t post about food no? So this entry is like, food overload ^^; Below is a view of the new Vancouver Convention Center, we went there on spur of the moment after dinner with friends for coffee and shared desserts.

I’ll update this into my gallery later on ^^; I did a couple more sketches but they were rather rough and also after an update recently my computer is refusing to work with the scanner (grrr!) I only managed to get this cat girl drawing into the computer by taking a picture then adjusting in photoshop, then open in Sai to clean up + CG ^^ Hope you like!

Sorry, just realised my last post was last Saturday ^^; Just been a little too busy and quite overwhelmed, recently found out that my team got into finals for blythe beauty contest 2009, and many more things to do/plan from there still! ^^;/
This year is my 5th spring in Canada :D I dare say it is one of my favourite seasons, despite the hayfever and sinus headaches it causes husband and I ^^;
This Saturday’s weather forecast was sunny and clouds, so had to get out there and try to take pix of the fleeting Sakuras (cherryblossoms)!
The white dots on the ground are wild daisies :) I love how serene and peaceful the above photo is ^^
I’m sure plenty of you can recognise airborne cats, especially this photo (click to view). I first discovered Junku’s photos of his amazing jumping cat pictures thru flickr. We still had Meowmeow then and he was too old/tubby to jump like that :P Our two furry kids definitely can jump ^^;/ Ginko is very good with catching the catnip toy I made for them in mid-air ^o^!
