Secret Cat Haven
ETA: On August 13 2009, I recieved an e-mail from one of the volunteers kindly letting me know that it is okay to let people know that it is okay to publish the name (Richmond Animal Protection Society or RAPS) and website (www.rapsociety.com) and to let people know that they are located are in Richmond, BC, Canada.
Quote: “It’s true that we don’t publish our street address or exact location, but if people are truly interested, they will call or email us through our website and be provided that information. Our organization has grown and is now more public because we operate the Richmond city animal shelter as well now.”
The organisation always welcome new volunteers and donations, so please do help spread the word if you know of someone locally who are interested in doing so :D
I apologise for the lack of activities here in a while, had just been really busy trying to get the two furry kids to settle down, you don’t want to know the details of what we were doing this morning at 5am ish lol… Let’s just say it involves some… samples the husband had to bring to the vet ^^;

Art, food and critters
This entry is way overdue I know, but I had been awfully busy ^^; I am probably very fatigued these days as one of my eye (optical lol for you DC peeps) is still rather twitchy ^^;
I wanted to draw a new piece of artwork to put on puppy52.com site as an entry image, but haven’t been very happy with my recent artwork, and also not to mention no time to CG properly ^^; CGing can take a few hours to a few days and I just don’t have the luxury at the moment since I have an important deadline to meet ;_; But well today made another step nearer to the deadline so took a little time to sketch a bit :)
Couple sketches and a load of cute ^^;
Did a couple sketches last week, one was a random girl in bikini (drew it before the bad news day).
Last week a friend came over to visit us for a bit (she also needed to drop something off) and we took her to stalk baby bunnies at a local park (selected pix under cut) :D I hope it distracted my husband a little, a tiny little baby bunny ate a carrotstick from his hand and actually touched his finger a bit! (I’m jealous :P) Husband had Meowmeow for longer than I do, while I know I am still upset over Meow’s passing, I know he had a longer and stronger bond with the cat, who of course loves my husband more than me, and may take longer for his sadness to pass…
Legacy of a cat with many faces
Still trying to come to terms about the loss of our Meowmeow, he left too sudden and too unexpectedly. We gave the go ahead for the vet to do a surgery to remove threads from his bowels, his bloodwork was great, we both thought he would be fine. But he didn’t wake up this morning :( we got a call from the vet around 8am to tell us meow wasn’t responding =_= and was THEN told that the chances for the operation was 50/50.
A day in – an injured finger

Easter seems to be a bigger thing in Canada than in Singapore (not sure for the latter for now tho).
Snowstorm, some artwork, all you can eat sushi
I drew these when I was working at the shop during the slower hours ^^; Didn’t get to scan/upload till now ^^; Picked three to feature :) One of them is a mascot of someone we know ;P And after artwork, some crazy snow pix ahead ^^;
Late for work on a glorious day!
I did a couple sketches at slower hours in the shop, but I’m rather tired by now so I’ll blog the artwork another time, don’t mind… ^^;/ Today I managed to miss my bus, not 100% unintentionally but it was such a beautiful day that I have to share the pictures I took as I walked to work ^o^!
Look at the dramatic clouds and blue sky, we live near a piece of flat unused land, but I kinda like it like this, it looks amost out of this world in this picture doesn’t it?

The best Lemon Tea in the world!
On Sunday, when me and hubs were running errands we came across by sheer chance, my most favourite Lemon Tea in the whole wide world!!!! I am soooooo stoked as we had hunted for it since I moved to Canada and had no luck, we’d only see the same brand, but other types of tea — Mango, Apple, Lychee, Peach etc etc… everywhere and just NO Lemon tea! o_o I was close to getting my friends to ship some over but no luck, also it’s too heavy to ship drinks over safely too ;_;
Basically at the time, all hope was lost… until Sunday :P Must thank hubs for suddenly decided that he need to get some drinks home otherwise we’d have skipped the drinks section and miss out again!
