Strida Mini adventures 5 — potato run
Went to pick up some potatoes at a small stand somewhat near our place. It’s a long a busy busy road so…. I was on the pavement ^^; I generally get off the bike to walk if I come across pedestrians tho.

Picture above taken by husband at Steveston’s Farmers Artisan’s Market, which we decided to check out at last minute… The skies were threatening to rain but we left soon after buying some plants ^^;
Been so busy, no have much time to blog, finally got some time to resize some photos, want to make note of the beautiful days and memories this year…
An unexpected “get” this month ^^; I was browsing the bike website (forgot what it was which made me look) and realised their Strida series was on sale!
I had been eyeing the Strida Mini for a long time, since 2009!
Interestingly enough, when my husband was in Hong Kong for about 2 weeks, he mentioned that Strida was/is being promoted in Hong Kong and there’s much more choices, accessories and variety being pushed. I would have loved a pastel pink or blue Strida Mini :P But this Silver one is pretty neat too!
Check out my husband’s Hong Kong entries at here and here. (I did not go as I needed to take care of our Ginko and Yoshi)
New free glasses (only paid about $12 for shipping) this year :3 thanks to a friend for the heads up!
Documenting some activities of 2011, food pix included under the cut, you be warned… lol
Thanks Mai for coming all the way to Steveston to hang out :) Too bad the weather got a bit crappy later, but we had a nice time :3! Thanks for spoiling us with cookies XD unfortunately some of them were broken in my bag (oops)
The weather forecast predicted rain initially, but lucky for us it was fantastic and sunny! :) Went out and caught a bit of the Steveston Farmers Artisans Market :P
When we went to Izamiya recently I took a look at their bulletin board and managed to catch a glimpse of Obon service organised by the Steveston Buddhist Temple happening on Sunday, so decided to go check it out :3
Took me about half an hour to walk there lol
I had a splash of inspiration and decided to try to enter the Threadless challenge! :D
Pretty please vote for my design! ^O^!
Other mumbo jumbo — cats and miscellaneous life/food documentation…
A few years ago I tried some organic strawberries at Wholefoods supermarket in Vancouver, and was shocked/surprised that they were naturally sweet o_o! The strawberries I ever had in Singapore are imported and are always very sour or tasteless ^^;
Since then I have been trying to catch the strawberry season — which is supposedly the main reason why the strawberries are sweet? I should have trusted my nose when they don’t smell sweet ^^; Below is from the haul of today ^^; Unfortunately they’re not sweet… lol They look fantastic tho :P
I wonder if I missed the season again? ^^; I hope I am just too early (LOL)
