This entry is way overdue I know, but I had been awfully busy ^^; I am probably very fatigued these days as one of my eye (optical lol for you DC peeps) is still rather twitchy ^^;

I wanted to draw a new piece of artwork to put on puppy52.com site as an entry image, but haven’t been very happy with my recent artwork, and also not to mention no time to CG properly ^^; CGing can take a few hours to a few days and I just don’t have the luxury at the moment since I have an important deadline to meet ;_; But well today made another step nearer to the deadline so took a little time to sketch a bit :)

Couple sketches and a load of cute ^^;

Did a couple sketches last week, one was a random girl in bikini (drew it before the bad news day).

Last week a friend came over to visit us for a bit (she also needed to drop something off) and we took her to stalk baby bunnies at a local park (selected pix under cut) :D I hope it distracted my husband a little, a tiny little baby bunny ate a carrotstick from his hand and actually touched his finger a bit! (I’m jealous :P) Husband had Meowmeow for longer than I do, while I know I am still upset over Meow’s passing, I know he had a longer and stronger bond with the cat, who of course loves my husband more than me, and may take longer for his sadness to pass…

Naughty Hidamari Sketch parody

So what did Danny see to make such a exaggerated expression? ^^;

During the downtime of one of my favourite haunts, while I had a little time to surf around (weekends I’m usually not in front of the computer if I can help it) came across this hilarious entry by lightningsabre :P You may have to see it to “get” the parody I drew tho ^^; The entry may or may not be NSFW depending on how strict your workplace is (what you doing here during work anyways?! lol), there’s no nudity tho, just hint of yuri (girl love).

When I saw the parodies ensued many with characters which we know from some of the popular animes out there, I couldn’t help but make a quick parody starring characters from dannychoo.com *shifty eyes* (LOL) I think the highlight of the comic strip is really the funny reaction as seen no? :P

This week managed to finish a record speed little commission for Otaku Dan! :D Very happy to be chosen to refresh the mascot/logo, the mascot is so cute, like a mochi with ears, tail and glasses ^O^ ^^; want to eat it lol!

I draw full time for cartoondollemporium.com but occassionally I do take a freelance commission or 2, have to squeeze it into free time sometimes if the commission has more details ^^; Each commission work is different, so charge and time to complete differ per client ^^;  Example if the mascot is a full size girl with detailed clothing etc, it’ll cost more than drawing a mochi mascot with a face and accessory :) Currently I have a couple things in queue ^^; (Sorry for the wait!)

Thursday sketches

Finally an overdue entry for some sketches ^^; Our cat’s condition is still keeping us on our toes, so I barely have time to think about sketches, but I was at the shop yesterday and there were some slower moments so I sketched on and off. Here are 3 of them ^^/! My eyes (optical pair, just to clarify for those who are from dannychoo :P) had been really tired, and twitchy possibly from not enough rest =_=; Anyhows,

Happy Niu Year!

Happy Niu Year!
Sorry a little late as the festivities usually = busy time ^^; Anyways if you don’t know already, the chinese new year usually means we’re supposed to celebrate 15 days by visiting relatives and such. Married folks will give unmarried folks (kids usually)  red-packets etc etc… ^^; To see the full image, just click on image below, I will update it into the gallery later ^^/

I had already coloured the Mirai image in the last couple of entries, it would be a little strange to go backwards to demonstrate colouring. So I will use this Niu Year image above to roughly demonstrate how I colour a quick CG :)

Please take note tho, this is only one of the many many ways we can colour using the computer, and it is not a set in stone method, and I may be going a little too fast as well, so please bear with me ^^;/

From sketch to ink process

So, k asked what program did I used to create the Nurse Mirai fan art in my previous entry. So in this entry I will show three stages from sketching (with a pencil) to an inked and partially cleaned up image.

I drew this sketch when I was not at home on 80g weight paper, using a mechanical pencil. Before I inked the sketch with a drawing pen, I managed remember to take a picture of the sketch with my camera (hence you see all the artifacts around the sketch).
