I guess the punishment for this is, having to look at the pictures and be painfully reminded that they close at 6 pm on weekdays :P

I had to run some small errands on Strida mini, and a craving for something sweet came up the day before, so I kinda planned to make a side trip to pick up the mini donuts before I head home ^^

I actually rolled Strida mini into the shop and place my order :P Luckily I wasn’t chased out for doing so :P

I generally like my desserts not too sweet and I was a bit curious how these donuts tasted — haven’t had donuts in a bit and had found Tim Horton’s getting a bit too sweet for my personal preference…

I wanted to bring some back for my husband to try as well, so I ordered a cone size for about $6-ish, it contains about a dozen mini donuts, I ordered assorted flavor as I couldn’t make up my mind what type to get :P

Since I ordered it as a take out, this little cone of donut was placed in a brown paper bag and I put it into a recycle shopping back and cycled back home after my errand was done, hoping it wasn’t a big mess when I reach home ^^; Lucky for me everything stayed in place :3

I couldn’t wait :P I picked one of each flavor to nom on XD

Had them with a glass of water (was thirsty after the bike ride), there’s chocolate icing with sprinkles, powdered sugar, vanilla icing with sprinkles, and cinnamon sugar :) I think I liked the powdered sugar the best (from memory) the ones with icing were a bit on the sweet side for me, cinnamon sugar was pretty good too ^^!

I think I just missed some filming which was going on, but I couldn’t resist taking photo of this huge green screen being propped up by a truck of sorts?

On my way to Steveston Village, two guys slowed down their car to asked me about Strida Mini, (the usual of where do I get it, how much is it, who made it etc…) I think I was a bit surprised so I may have mumbled some rubbish to them lol!

It was cold to cycle in the wind!  Also I feel the resistance, and it feels like the bike is going slower, I especially feel it when the ground is slightly going upwards lol!

But it was fun! :)

Discovered another mini “house” meant for kids, I almost trespassed unknowingly at first as this corner used to be something else rather than a child care facility.

I was taking some photos of my Dollfie Dream, Aki, and suddenly this came into sight, I was lucky I had my camera ready and could take a few shots! No idea what it was about tho lol!

Weather has been weird these days ^^;

There are times it’s really cold and rainy, felt almost like winter, but by afternoon when the sun comes out for a bit it feels quite warm, even comfortable?

It’s easier to ride Strida Mini when it’s not rainy or too cold.

Managed to sneak one of my dolls along with me, in attempt to take photos near to a “dream doll house” lol

Hopefully next time I will feel brave enough to actually ask for permission to take pictures… tho there’s a possibility of getting refused if I do ask (doh!)

I had been eyeing the Strida Mini for a long time, since 2009!

Interestingly enough, when my husband was in Hong Kong for about 2 weeks, he mentioned that Strida was/is being promoted in Hong Kong and there’s much more choices, accessories and variety being pushed. I would have loved a pastel pink or blue Strida Mini :P But this Silver one is pretty neat too!

Ironically the Strida Mini we bought seems to be the display model (and the only and last piece in the shop) — who knows maybe it was even the exact same one we test drove :P But I was happy that we didn’t have to pay the original price for it… ^^;

I also scored a cute helmet and some bike accessories at 10% off — got compliments for helmet when I rode the bike out to “break it in”… lol

The steering of this little bike is quite sensitive, so I gotta practice to get used to it, decided to do it on this gorgeous sunny/breezy day. Going to the Steveston village on a bike is definitely faster than walking! I saved at least 10 minutes each way if I didn’t stop time to time to take photos.

I’m hoping to be able to take Strida Mini out on the bus eventually — hope they’ll let me get on without too much fuss :P

Strida feels like a flat ground type bike, and good for short distances, I’m also hoping to try to do some small errands with it when I get more confident with handling the bike.

We’re lucky to live near a trail where I can take the bike on for practice. ^^

Strida Mini chan is a great model too no?

Below is how the bike looks folded up and resting on the carrier  – it can be folded up like this in 3 seconds! :3

My Strida Mini did not come with awesome accessories like bell or lights, mud guard, kickstand or frame protector.

I guess Strida Mini is possibly made for children (thus not fully equipped to be used on the roads) — I’m too short, so I cannot even ride the standard Strida with it’s set set to the lowest ^^; After the ride in the afternoon, I custom made the frame protector :3

Random: This fabric unfortunately seem to stain my bag (stained my dollfie before ) ^^;

I think this is going to be the last one for the year, since Winter= cold/rainy/cloudy ^^;

This Autumn’s temperature feels rather mild ^^; I recall the last Autumn, I was wearing winter jackets, this year I felt warm even under just a fleece hoodie ^^;

Non related XD, Soy sauce braised pork with boiled egg… Om nomnom, not as good as my mom’s tho lol I got desperate and searched for a recipe online XD Turns out I forgot some spices lol (after communicated with mom about it :P)

Caramel creme dessert :P Made from the pre-packaged powder? (Add milk, bring to boil, simmer for a minute and pour to set) Caramel sugar comes in separate package :3
