Blast from the past

Saw i_pup tweeted about finding an old print-out of my old fan art, and I went to did a quick dig around for some old files and found a few… kinda nostalgic ^^;

Some of the artwork were actually auctioned off when I went to my 1st and 2nd anime expo in LA :) Above is an watercolour/gouache piece, it’s probably one of my personal favourite :) her pose was likely referred from a photograph, and dress etc referred from the original artworks at the time. I’m not sure if I still have a large original scan of it tho ^^;

This Deedlit fan art was likely auctioned too ^^; her legs + shoes look funny ^^;; It was dated year 2000 ^^

I referred Nissu from some artwork seen on some Magazines :P I never seen Nissu animated tho?

I think one of the main reason I don’t draw/post as much fan art as before is because I find that fan art seem to get stolen without my permission a lot of the times ^^;

I remember someone actually found my artwork printed on postcards at a convention where my signature was actually still on it… whoever sold it to the people who printed it for sale probably pretended to be the artist of my work… that was awful =_= I mean I painted my work and uploaded them for online viewing/personal use — not for profitable purposes… Luckily my friend was able to help me get the artwork taken down ^^;

Mirai and Danny has always been a big source of inspiration to me, and yet again I felt inspired to draw a fan art of Mirai ^^;/

Interested in having your fan art of Mirai Suenaga being shown on Danny’s culture:japan?

I dug up some older fan art I did of Mirai Suenaga and etc for submission ^o^ Also updated the previous fan art of Kanata Hoshikawa to reflect the correct hair do. ^^; The one above erm I got the idea from someone’s comment ^^; Sketched it in pencils, took a photo of it and drew/colour mostly using Sai.

I’m quite tired so gonna crash soon, will update the artwork in gallery later :)

Documenting some illustration which I recently done :) Below is a piece for Otacool4 x pixiv submission.

My pixiv account is here ^^/ Still trying to figure it out so only 2 artwork there so far ^^;

I was having a sketching block (not happy with the sketches I have been making) so I coloured an older one which I liked ^^ the image below was posted on 12 Nov 2009.

Had the pleasure to make an art for Tibiloo’s baby announcement ^o^! Congratulations again for the addition to your family! :) The white pup is Abba ^o^/

Crashed a artist meet on Sunday (Since I found out about it by accident on the day before). Many young talents locally! ^o^ Hopefully will get a chance to meet them again! :3

Copic Markers

Almost forgot to document a couple sketches of fan art done to include with a couple out going packages for the dolly related stuff :)

Asuka Langley Soryu fan art was a sketch included in a sewing work which I caught up a while ago. (see owner pictures on figure.fm)

Ryomou Shimei sketch was included when I sent off a package for Manami – link to figure.fm post ;D

Non fully coloured versions:

The artworks in this entry were sketched in pencils, inked in pilot drawing pens, then coloured with copic markers. I then took a photo of it, adjusted and added text and a background in photoshop. A few of my markers are actually slowly running out of ink (oops) I’ve had them for a long time tho ^^; Will have to find other alternatives… hmmm

Haven’t been drawing much these days ^^; do you peeps even remember I draw? lol

In this post are mainly some doodles to pack with the sewing I had been working on. I try to take quick photos of the sketches before I pack them in…

These artwork sketched in pencils, inked in pilot drawing pen, and then coloured with copic markers. I adjusted and tweaked a bit in photoshop before posting them here :)

I was reminded that my original characters are very neglected ^^; when I saw the adorable mascot character Radiantdreamer did for lovelyduckie, must think about and refresh/revive them sometime. ^^; As always there’s some backstory behind them and lots of ideas for some type of storyline, but for some reason I never got around fleshing them out ^o^;

Was itching to paint something in Sai, and decided to pick one of my personal favourite gravure babe as my subject :3 If you decide to do a search online for her, be warned, she’s very erm well endowed ^^;, I like her for her cute face tho! Did this quickly in a few hours, so it’s not pixel by pixel accurate :P

For a comparison between the referred photo, I put it side by side in Sai to paint :) (What is Sai?)

I think I made her look a bit more mature than she is :P Oh well hope to do better next time ^^;

It’s a bit hard to do everything at the same time, so I had been trying to do things one at a time, I wish I can sew and draw AT THE SAME TIME, but it’s just not possible lol. Anyone want to help me do housework? LOL

The original art was so rough that I had to adjust in computer ^^; so it doesn’t look like the finished product huh? :3

Quite happy with how she turned out even tho it’s done pretty quickly ^^; I thought she looked cute without wings too so included a wing-less version under the cut :3

Realised I forgot to post a few non-dollfie photos taken at Garry Point Park when I went there with Mira chan :) Really cool effects when the kites covered the setting sun ^o^

It was really brighter than the above photo :3
