These artwork sketched in pencils, inked in pilot drawing pen, and then coloured with copic markers. I adjusted and tweaked a bit in photoshop before posting them here :)

I was reminded that my original characters are very neglected ^^; when I saw the adorable mascot character Radiantdreamer did for lovelyduckie,  must think about and refresh/revive them sometime. ^^;  As always there’s some backstory behind them and lots of ideas for some type of storyline, but for some reason I never got around fleshing them out ^o^;

Husband said I should pick the one I like the least to work on first in case of mistake… I picked Gogg as I’m not sure if I like his oddly long arms out of the three, but I must say this little fella grew on me after I snapped him together ^^;

It’s an interesting experience, and I’m glad I started on SDs because I don’t think I can handle the MG and HG etc ^^; Too many pieces! :P

I must admit I was attracted to this set of three because they look really cute ^^;

It’s interesting to try it in person, I can see why my husband enjoy building them. I feel a sense of accomplishment from just only snapping SD Gogg together ^^;  My husband is more of a perfectionist, and he carefully modifies the actual gunpla to look the way he wants them to.

One snapped, 2 more to go :P

After I snapped Gogg together, he went and interrupted husband’s photo shooting of his gunpla ^^; Gogg also made friends with my Dollfie Dream Nyanko ^^;

The next day he helped me prepare lunch…

He was very insistent…

I asked him to guard the soy sauce ^^;

Took Churuya san nendoroid out time to time ^^

Hung out with a friend of ours last week during an unexpectedly hot afternoon ^^;

Looks like our friend got a set of Mojibakeru, and he brought a couple to show us XD

Another afternoon, I thought I lost the fork of Churuya san nendoroid ^^; went into a panic, and got some plastic sheet from husband to make a temporary replacement. After I was done, I found the fork on the floor :P It probably dropped out when I was opening the box ^^; Oh well, it helps to have a back up :P

Took me about half an hour to walk there lol

Gotta buy tickets to eat, drink and play games and they take cash only ^^;/

Part of the food selection has been made to cater more to the Canadian’s tastebuds (there’s cotton candy, hotdog, beer ^^;)

I was too lazy to queue up for the ricebowls (Japanese curry/and chicken karaage I think) so opted for gyozas instead… verdict? I won’t pick that again if I attend it again LOL! I should have tried something from the Bakudanyaki vans instead, not sure what I was thinking lol maybe was just too lazy to join a long queue ^^;

A lot of people brought their kids dressed up in Yukata, totemo kawaii ^O^

Some lovely moms and granmas, also dressed in lovely Yukatas danced along in the circle :)

I did not stay too long as I need to go home to feed the furkids :P It’s really nice to see all the colourful yukatas, it was definitely the highlight of the service. ^^

The green tea frappe (shaved ice) is yummy and fragrant, red bean is not too sweet, and mochi chewy everything goes well with the scoop of green tea ice cream will definitely have it again if we go :P

Decided to have something salty to go with the sweet… potato croquette, the taste reminds us of a bento we had when we met up with Danny last summer time flies! ^^;

Takoyaki’s been sitting in their warmer for a bit :P

During a grocery shopping trip at Izamiya, husband’s picks decided on what I was gonna make for dinner ^o^

Mixed kani kama with some japanese mayo

Avocado was perfect ripeness!

Japanese cucumber sliced into sticks

Masago kept in fridge until everything else is ready.

And of course before all these, rice was washed and put in rice cooker. Mixed with some sugar and rice vinegar 10 mins after the rice is done. Then arranged it all on a piece of seaweed on top of the bamboo sushi mat.

I put a bit less rice cos trying to reduce the carb we are taking, so end up it doesn’t wrap all around the ingredients in the center ^^;

On a different evening we decided to try this pasta seasoning XD, there’s 2 people serving of sauce in it, and seaweed bits ^^

It was a salty and spicy sauce XD we added the masago and kani kama, may have changed the taste a bit I guess ^^; I found it a bit too spicy for my preference, but husband like it so we might get it again the next time we go ^^

Below is before we mix everything up, and before adding seaweed bits ^^; Forgot to take a picture after mixing cos the pasta was cooling down quick ^^;

Since then I have been trying to catch the strawberry season — which is supposedly the main reason why the strawberries are sweet?  I should have trusted my nose when they don’t smell sweet ^^; Below is from the haul of today ^^; Unfortunately they’re not sweet… lol They look fantastic tho :P

I wonder if I missed the season again? ^^; I hope I am just too early (LOL)

I walked out to see if I have any luck to find some sweet strawberries… was distracted by some flowers along the way…

No idea what their names are ^^;

Handed over $5 CAD in exchange for a tub of strawberries…

They look so good, I was quite excited…

The strawberries had soil on them so I had to rinse them carefully a few times…

Glad I could at least take some fantastic photos of them…

Anyone have any tips on how to buy sweet strawberries? Care to share? ^o^ I’m gonna save some of the berries to put sugar on for my husband (he doesn’t like it sour at all!)

I am really sorry for the trouble and inconvenience caused, we previously received the same type of tee shirts with different images, so we were shocked that the quality was not the same as the initial tee shirts.

Below is the puppy shock teeshirt I gotten when I just opened shop in late 2008 ^^; It has been thru a few washes by now, and still look quite clear. (photo taken last week)

I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect the same quality printing for the current tee shirts, but unfortunately for the last two shirts Danny received they looked really worn out when they were supposedly new ^^;

Oiishii kata!!! Must go again my husband and Mai ordered this: Toroniku ramen? The pork for this dish is very tender o_o

Meaty meat…  I tried one piece, it’s quite fat (maybe I got the fattest part of the slices oops lol)

I ordered Shio Ramen, I like it a lot! :D Next time I may order with more cha siew because the cha siew’s tasty! :P
