I did a couple sketches at slower hours in the shop, but I’m rather tired by now so I’ll blog the artwork another time, don’t mind… ^^;/ Today I managed to miss my bus, not 100% unintentionally but it was such a beautiful day that I have to share the pictures I took as I walked to work ^o^!

Look at the dramatic clouds and blue sky, we live near a piece of flat unused land, but I kinda like it like this, it looks amost out of this world in this picture doesn’t it?

The best Lemon Tea in the world!

On Sunday, when me and hubs were running errands we came across by sheer chance, my most favourite Lemon Tea in the whole wide world!!!! I am soooooo stoked as we had hunted for it since I moved to Canada and had no luck, we’d only see the same brand, but other types of tea — Mango, Apple, Lychee, Peach etc etc… everywhere and just NO Lemon tea! o_o I was close to getting my friends to ship some over but no luck, also it’s too heavy to ship drinks over safely too ;_;

Basically at the time, all hope was lost… until Sunday :P Must thank hubs for suddenly decided that he need to get some drinks home otherwise we’d have skipped the drinks section and miss out again!

Naughty Hidamari Sketch parody

So what did Danny see to make such a exaggerated expression? ^^;

During the downtime of one of my favourite haunts, while I had a little time to surf around (weekends I’m usually not in front of the computer if I can help it) came across this hilarious entry by lightningsabre :P You may have to see it to “get” the parody I drew tho ^^; The entry may or may not be NSFW depending on how strict your workplace is (what you doing here during work anyways?! lol), there’s no nudity tho, just hint of yuri (girl love).

When I saw the parodies ensued many with characters which we know from some of the popular animes out there, I couldn’t help but make a quick parody starring characters from dannychoo.com *shifty eyes* (LOL) I think the highlight of the comic strip is really the funny reaction as seen no? :P

This week managed to finish a record speed little commission for Otaku Dan! :D Very happy to be chosen to refresh the mascot/logo, the mascot is so cute, like a mochi with ears, tail and glasses ^O^ ^^; want to eat it lol!

I draw full time for cartoondollemporium.com but occassionally I do take a freelance commission or 2, have to squeeze it into free time sometimes if the commission has more details ^^; Each commission work is different, so charge and time to complete differ per client ^^;  Example if the mascot is a full size girl with detailed clothing etc, it’ll cost more than drawing a mochi mascot with a face and accessory :) Currently I have a couple things in queue ^^; (Sorry for the wait!)

A day in – random photo dump

I must apologize for the lack of art related entries these days, caring for an old sick cat is a lot of work and it did take it’s toll on both me and husband. ^^; Everyday revolves around checking Meow to make sure he’s eating, peeing + pooing and feeding him medication (am sure even you guys are sick of hearing me talk about this lol!) Good thoughts from everyone helps tho :) Thanks a bunch! He’s not 100% yet but we hope he’s slowly getting there!

Tonite I was playing with my dwarf hammy Ebichu, so I took a few quick pictures of her. I LOLed when I saw that I managed to catch a very rare picture of her tongue! How cute is that?!

Finally an overdue entry for some sketches ^^; Our cat’s condition is still keeping us on our toes, so I barely have time to think about sketches, but I was at the shop yesterday and there were some slower moments so I sketched on and off. Our poor senior Meowmeow was sick since monday (started puking around 4 am on monday and puked every other hour o_o), very bad for him, our finances and all of our stress level ^^; Hopefully it’s nothing super major since blood work and xray was non conclusive  at the moment.
